Saudi Arabia had assure cooperation if Bangladesh request for commercial LNG supply and investment in Eastern Refinery Unit-2 project. This news was inform in a circular from the Economic Relation Department (ERD) on Tuesday (November1).

Prince Mohammed bin Salman of Saudi Arabia will visit Bangladesh in early 2023. ERD believes that it will play a unique role in increasing the relations between the two countries.

ERD Secretary Sharif Khan, led the Bangladesh delegation in the meeting, and Saudi Arabia was led by the Vice Minister of the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.

Incidentally, Bangladesh Embassy in Riyadh on October 31 requested this assistance in the 14th meeting of the Joint Economic Commission between the two country.

According to the notification, Bangladesh wants to buy LNG from Saudi Arabia. Saudi Arabia has expressed interest in LNG supplies.
